Scope Assist — professional inspection reports

Privacy policy

What this covers

How Scope Assist LLC handles information collected through the Scope Assist website and dashboard.

What we collect

Account details. Your company name, your name, email address, phone number and business address.

Inspection requests. The property address, the homeowner’s name, the insurance company and claim number, the date and time you book, and any notes you add.

Inspection records. Photographs of the property and the report documents produced from the visit.

Billing. The line items on each inspection and the amount charged.

Card details

We do not collect, see or store card numbers. Card entry happens directly with Stripe, our payment processor. What we hold is the card brand, the last four digits, and the identifiers Stripe issues for the customer and payment method — enough to show you which card is on file and to charge it for a completed inspection, and not enough to use anywhere else.

How it is used

To schedule and carry out inspections, to deliver reports to the contractor who requested them, to bill for completed work, and to contact you about your account or a specific inspection.

We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Your company’s requests, reports and photographs are visible to you and to the inspector who carries out the work. They are not visible to any other contractor — this is enforced in the database itself, not only in the application.

We share information with the services that run Scope Assist: Supabase, which hosts the database and file storage, and Stripe, which processes payments. We also share information where the law requires it.

Homeowner information

A request contains a homeowner’s name and address, supplied by the contractor. We use it only to attend and inspect the property and to produce the report. If you are a homeowner and want to know what is held about a property, contact us and we will direct you to the contractor who submitted the request.

How long it is kept

Inspection records are kept while your account is open, because they are the record of work performed and billed. Ask us to close your account and we will delete what we are not required to retain for tax or legal reasons.

Your choices

You can view and correct your company details from the dashboard at any time. To ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, write to scopeassistsupport@gmail.com.
