Who we are
Scope Assist is operated by Scope Assist LLC. We carry out roof inspections for roofing contractors and deliver a photo-documented report. Using the Scope Assist website or dashboard means you accept these terms.
Accounts
An account represents one contracting company. You are responsible for the accuracy of the company details you enter, for keeping your password to yourself, and for everything done through your account. Tell us at scopeassistsupport@gmail.com if you believe someone else has access to it.
Booking an inspection
Inspections are booked into one-hour slots. Submitting a request does not confirm it: we accept or decline each one. If we decline, you are told why, the hour is released, and nothing is charged.
By submitting a property for inspection you confirm that you have the property owner’s permission for us to attend and to photograph the roof and structure.
Fees
The current price list — the standard inspection and each surcharge, with the condition that applies it — is published on the home page and is the list in force. All prices are in US dollars, per inspection. Prices may change; the price that applies to any one job is the one shown on that inspection at the time it is billed, which is why the line items on a completed inspection are a record of what was charged rather than a link to the current list.
There is no subscription and no minimum. You are billed per completed inspection.
Payment
A payment card must be on file before you can submit a request. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe — full card numbers never reach Scope Assist, and we store only the card brand, its last four digits, and identifiers issued by Stripe.
The card on file is charged when the inspection is completed and the report is delivered, and not before. A declined request is never billed. If a charge fails, the inspection is not marked complete and we will contact you.
Reports
A report is a record of what was observed at the property on the day of the inspection. It is our professional assessment; it is not an insurance determination, an engineering certification, or a guarantee of any claim outcome. How you use it with an insurer, an adjuster or a homeowner is your decision and your responsibility.
Reports and photographs for your own inspections remain available in your dashboard.
Cancellations and problems
If you need to cancel a booked inspection, or you believe an inspection was billed in error, contact us at scopeassistsupport@gmail.com and we will put it right.
Ending an account
You may stop using Scope Assist at any time. We may suspend or close an account that is used to submit requests for properties without the owner’s permission, that repeatedly fails payment, or that is used unlawfully.
